Minden-Gardnerville Sanitation District operates as a Special District – Enterprise Fund. Nevada NRS 354.517 defines an enterprise fund as a “fund established to account for operations”. This means that MGSD must have its wastewater treatment services funded primarily through user fees.

On October 3, 2023, Minden-Gardnerville Sanitation District Board of Trustees approved a resolution to increase sewer use fees after more than 10 years. An extensive rate study was conducted to determine the current fee structure and is available below for the public to review.
